I'll never forget 8-8-88, the date the final lights went up, at Wrigley. The heavens opened up and a deluge not seen since the days of Noah reigned upon Chicago. That was all of the affirmation I needed and from the best source there could be!
Agreed, but not as dark a day as when they introduced "carpet" for the playing surface.
What a disgrace and what a mistake! I wish they would ban AstroTurf in every major league ballpark.
