BOLD Predictions for 2007

- Bobby Knight will overtake Dean Smith in career victories (but will never catch Pat Summit).

- Barack Obama will announce his candidacy for POTUS.

- Rosie O'Donnell will say something stupid.

- Gameshows will overtake Reality shows in popularity.

- YouTube will be really popular.

- A famous celebrity couple will divorce.

- Alabama will hire a new head football coach. O.K., I must admit, I'm not confident on this one.

- A movie titled "Amazing Grace" will come out.

- The St. Louis Cardinals will not win the World Series.

- I'm going to go out on a limb on this one, but... neither will the Milwaukee Brewers.

- The war in Iraq will be controversial.

- More states or cities will ban trans fat.

Hmm. I'm feelin' ya on all these, with the exception of the Cardinals.

I'm still a bit concerned about their starting rotation, but there's a chance they could still get Mulder AND he might be back to form.

So, St. Louis could once again be "the Good Land" in 2007!

Go Cardinals!

P.S. Great blog title! ; )

Usually after a man of God goes out on a limb like this and makes such bold predictions for the new year, he sticks his hand out looking for a hand-out (ala Pat Robertson).

Thanks, Brett, for not doing that.

Then, on the other hand, maybe you're SO good at it I just didn't even realize you were doing it....hey, where's my wallet?
