One of the stars of my favorite Christmas movie, A Christmas Story, died this morning in California. McGavin was absolutely superb playing the father of Ralphie. And who can forget the famous leg lamp scene! Classic flick! We watch it every Christmas.

The Christmas rituals are not complete at our house until we watch the "Christmas Story".
I have two boys, age 8 and 9, who saw it for the first time this year. They went around the whole month of December singing, "Deck the hars with bars of horry, fa ra ra ra ra ra ra ra ra."
